The parade, a multicultural extravaganza featuring floats, cars, motorcycles, bands, armed services, and animals, resonated with the spirit of Dr. King’s teachings, emphasizing economic justice, peace, and respect for all cultures.
At the heart of the parade’s success was the poignant portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by none other than First Trinity Academy’s student, Kenneth. Dressed in the iconic attire of the civil rights leader, Kenneth embodied the essence of Dr. King as he rode in a car amidst the jubilant crowd.
The parade, organized by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Committee, The Albert L. Brown Foundation, and The City of Leesburg, served as a powerful reminder of Dr. King’s enduring legacy and the values he championed throughout his life.
